Refund policy

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made through https://thejerky.world. The seller is SIA SmartBuy, registration number 40203098869, VAT/PVN number LV40203098869, legal address Duntes iela 7A, LV-1013, Riga, Latvia, trading as THE JERKY.

1. Consumer right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer and buy goods online, you generally have the right to withdraw from the distance contract within 14 calendar days from the day you, or a third party indicated by you, receive the goods, unless an exception applies under applicable law.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us before the 14-day period expires by sending a clear statement to info@beefjerky.world. You may use a withdrawal form, but a specific form is not required if your statement clearly confirms that you withdraw from the purchase.

Please include your order number, full name, contact details and the products you wish to return.

2. Food and sealed meat products

We sell sealed packaged food products, including beef jerky, pork jerky, chicken jerky, beef sticks, pork sticks, chicken sticks and mixed meat snack boxes.

For health, hygiene and food safety reasons, returned food products must be unopened, unused, undamaged, in their original sealed packaging and suitable for return. We cannot accept returns of food products if the original packaging, safety seal or protective packaging has been opened, removed, damaged or broken after delivery, unless the product is defective, damaged, unsafe, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming.

Products that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly may be excluded from the right of withdrawal where applicable by law. This does not affect your statutory rights if a product is defective, damaged, unsafe, incorrect or not as described.

3. Damaged, defective, unsafe or wrong products

Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it. If a product is damaged, defective, unsafe, incorrect or missing, contact us as soon as possible at info@beefjerky.world.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the product, packaging and shipping label. Do not consume a product if you believe it may be unsafe or contaminated.

If the issue is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate lawful solution, which may include replacement, refund, partial refund or another remedy. Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by this policy.

4. Conditions for eligible returns

To be eligible for a return under the right of withdrawal, the goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you informed us of your decision to withdraw.

The product must be in the same condition as received, unopened, unused, in original packaging, with labels and seals intact, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Items sent back without first contacting us and receiving return instructions may not be accepted.

5. Return address and return shipping

Unless the return is caused by our mistake or by a defective, damaged, unsafe, incorrect or non-conforming product, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend using a trackable delivery method. We are not responsible for returned parcels lost in transit unless we arranged the return delivery.

6. Refunds

After we receive and inspect the returned goods, we will notify you whether the refund is approved. If approved, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

We will issue refunds without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal notice. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you provide proof that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

Where required by law, we refund the standard delivery cost paid for the original delivery. If you selected a more expensive express, premium or non-standard delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional cost beyond the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us.

Banks and payment providers may need additional time to process the refund.

7. Exchanges

We do not guarantee direct exchanges. If you want a different product, contact us first. In most cases, the fastest solution is to place a new order after the return or refund has been approved.

8. Gift cards and digital products

If gift cards, digital products or downloadable products are offered, they are not refundable once issued or delivered, unless required by applicable law.
